Our Story

Green Yachts began in 2019 and is dedicated to supporting the electric boating community on the water by selling, servicing, and advocating electric powered boats.

Sail Magazine wrote in April 2018, “the electric revolution is coming to sailing.” We agree – and not just for sailboats

Around the world, boat manufacturers are building electric tug boats, power catamarans, canal boats, pontoon boats, sailboats, ferry boats and more.

Over 1,000 boaters currently use electric motors instead of gas or diesel engines and this is the fastest growing segment in the boating industry!

Sailing Uma, a couple that sails an electric boat, has over 100,000 YouTube subscribers.

Alex Thomson, the youngest skipper ever to win an around-the-world-race, uses the same electric motor in his racing boat that we install in the boats we sell to you.

We aren’t focused on just talking to folks who are looking to buy a boat. Our Green Yachts team is interested in creating a community of boaters who want to learn about electric propulsion and we want you to become part of our electric propulsion community in whatever way works for you.

We are boat owners and lovers. We love the experience of spending an evening anchored in a quiet cove, taking friends out for a fun day on the water, feeling the ocean breeze relax our soul and developing our boating skills every day.

Service

When you buy a boat from Green Yachts, our support for you doesn’t stop at the sale. We and our service team are there to support you, answer your questions, troubleshoot any issues and assist you in any way we can.

Stewardship

When we protect our oceans, we protect marine life, our global climate and the world our children inherit from us. Green Yachts seeks to promote and support stewardship of our oceans. That’s why we donate a portion of each sale to a marine conservation group of your choice and why we advocate for everything from bottom paints to cleaning products that helps us be better stewards of our oceans as boaters.
