EPTechnologies is a marine propulsion provider that produces high-voltage NMC batteries, marine control systems, generators, and integrates all the components of a marine electric propulsion system. For years, EPTechnologies has been a subcontractor to the world’s biggest electric propulsion system manufacturers and today uses its industry leading safe batteries and marine control systems to integrate the best and most cost-effective electric propulsion systems available on the commercial market. EPTehnologies equipment and systems are found in ferry boats, excursion vessels, power boats and the largest production catamarans in the world.

The heart of Praxis Automation Technology is its vessel management systems, power management systems and its Mega-Guard Electric Propulsion Motor (EPM), a highly efficient permanent magnet motor for ship’s propulsion. Praxis offers pure electric, parallel hybrid and series hybrid solutions. Their systems have been installed in GreeNavalmotoryachts and recently announced that they were selected as the propulsion system for Arksen Yachts.

Siemens offers a complete range of propulsion and auxiliary diesel engines with reduction gearboxes and electric propulsion motors to meet the demand of any type of boat: fishing vessels, tug boats, bulk carriers, trawlers, workboats or dredges. Siemens systems can be found on the “Ro Vision”, the world’sfirst plug-in hybrid live fish carrier. Siemens Energy Norway supplied an electric propulsion system with integrated Siemens BlueVault energy storage of 600 kWh.

Recreational Electric Propulsion Manufacturers

Aquamotis an Austrian company that was founded in 2003 by engineer SiegmundHammerstrom and has grown to be a leading manufacturer of electric motors and accessories, including outboards inboards, chargers and batteries. They have two lines of fixed pod motors: Trend and Professional, as well as a line of steerable pods that line up with the power ranges of the Professional line.

Dieter Seebacher has been intensively researching water and electricity for more than 30 years. Hence the brand name aquawatt. The result is top quality electric motor boats, a wide range of electric inboard and outboard motors used internationally, as well as state-of-the-art lithium batteries manufactured in-house. You can look back on a lot of experience. As early as 1992, the model aquawatt 715 according to Yachtrevue was the fastest production e-boat on the world market. The commitment to clean drive and the developments were honored with several honors and the Austrian Solar Prize.

Environmentally-friendly solution for all boats, whether new or existing. It eliminates noise and its use helps reduce water and atmospheric pollution, allowing access anywhere navigation with maximum silence and respect for the environment are required. Ideal for Protected Marine Areas, urban settings and inland waterways, with particular sensitivity and ever-increasing restrictions.

By combining traditional and proven designs with trailblazing motor and control technology, Elco leads the industry in providing quiet and clean power electric-propulsion. Boating enthusiasts trust Elco for its durable, powerful, safe and efficient motors that are built to the level of excellence that has guided the company for more than 125 years. If only 5 percent of the approximately 13 million registered boats in the U.S. today repowered with electric, 1 billion pounds of CO2 emissions would be eliminated ensuring the future of our fresh water and air.

Electric Yacht provides powerful, quality electric sailboat motors. They have developed a Plug-n-Play system that has been engineered for quick, simplified installation as well as long term durability. Over 500 installations from 22 feet to 66 feet. Clean, Green, and Quiet Electric Propulsion with no more headaches, oil changes, or exhaust smell.

Flux Marine makes powerful no maintenance, long range, electric outboard motors that have been completely designed from the ground up eliminating many of the inefficiency of outboard motors that are converted designs from gas outboards. They have a range of outboard motors from 15 to 70 HP that will be available in 2022. The name Flux Marine has a dual meaning, one symbolizing change to the marine industry and the second because a magnetic flux field is responsible for generating torque in an electric motor.

Kräutler is a long-established German manufacturer of industrial electric motors. They began construction of electric boat motors for commercial ships as well as recreational boats and probably offer the widest range of sailpods and saildrives with everything from small .5kW steerable pods to electrically rotatable saildrives with power up to 30kW.Especially in motors for boat drives, their range of electric motors for sailing and motorboats has practically no limit. This is their contribution to an environmental thinking focused on the future.
