Najad 450 CC
Priced against the Hallberg-Rassy 44, the standard Najad looks to be a bit more expensive. However when you bring the Hallberg-Rassy up to Najad’s more comprehensive specification, and then the boats become very closely matched. Then, when you factor in the quality factors you find on a Najad and not on a Hallberg-Rassy such as hand-laid fiberglass, the Najad 450 CC truly takes the lead in being the best made mid-forties feet in length Swedish cruiser.
Step onboard the Najad and not feel the need to run a hand along the smooth curved deck lines, or break a smile at the tactile finish of the golden brown mahogany. There are many areas of solid wood and detail that you just don’t see on other yachts such as the slabs either side of the companionway steps. As you look around the 450 CC, it’s easy to see why Najad has the reputation for quality it does because the 450 CC is a quintessential luxury boat in every sense the word.
With both furling genoa and mainsail controlled electronically, combined with electric winches, sailing the Najad 450 CC is push-button sail adjustments at its best. Using the mainsheet winches for the mast-led lines saves the expense of extra winches and keeps everything within the helm’s reach and control.
