Salona S39
Overview
If you were to design the perfect sailboat under 40 feet, what would it be? Exquisitely beautiful? Outperforms bigger cruising boats? Plenty of space down below for entertaining, living, sleeping?
Welcome to the Salona S39.
The S39 is the perfect coastal cruiser, at home going for a week’s sail to Martha’s Vineyard, the Catalina Islands or the Bahamas. She has enough storage and space for ocean crossings and is fast enough to out sail hurricanes in the open ocean – the truest form of safety on the high seas – we know, we’ve done this in one.
The great sailing performance of the Salona S39 enables great hydroregeneration performance of the Oceanvolt Servoprop electric propulsion system. It also means there no noxious fumes,
maintenance or noise of a diesel engine as you enjoy the serenity of sailing all the time from the second you leave your slip to the second you return.
Exterior
The hull and deck laminates of the Salona 39 are constructed using vacuum infusion technology combined with tri-axial oriented fiberglass fabric. The stainless steel frame makes the Salona 39 strong, light and comfortable no matter the sea condition. The German mainsheet system and non overlapping jib allow smooth and precise control with crew or single-handed.
Sporty, clean and elegant hull and deck lines reflect the origins of this performance cruiser’s background as a competitive ORC & IRC racer with great upwind performance. When the aft swim platform is extended at anchor, the outdoor space is even bigger allowing a couple families to relax and play in style on the S39.
The high-performance hull is matched by a cockpit layout that makes offshore and single-handed sailing intuitive and easy. The swim platform that lowers down, the rounded deck and hull lines and the large, sleek windows all add to the modern, European look of this yacht.
Interior
The fit and finish on the S39, like all Salona yachts, will impress you. Its elegance and craftsmanship will give you pride when entertaining guests, your racing team or your loved ones for a pleasant evening or a few days’ journey.
The double wide doorways to the forward cabin create an airy and spacious feeling in the cabin. The woodworking and finish, all done in-house at Salona, is beautiful and professional. Door frames are solid wood and drawers are wood throughout the galley and the cabins.
The elegant and bright saloon with a large L-shaped dinette and a starboard settee provide seating for at least 8. Combined with a convertible nav station, lots of storage space including a drawer for wine bottles in the dinette table. The cavernous refrigerator and ice box provide enough food storage for even an ocean crossing.
All the sleeping cabins have hanging lockers and plenty of shelving for the personal effects for each member of your crew and double berths big enough for a comfortable night’s sleep.
